EH&S Background Data / Configure Application Parameters

The Environmental Health & Safety application provides several configuration parameters you can use to control application behavior. Some of these parameters define the timeframe used by various reports and others enable email notifications about scheduled events. These parameters allow you to customize application behavior based on your organization's needs and policies.

Note: If you change the value of a parameter below, you must work with your ARCHIBUS system administrator to implement your changes.

The following EH&S application parameters are available:

IncidentsDaysDeadline	Recent Incidents Time Span: Limit number of days to consider for report purposes for showing a report with recent incidents (occurred during previous number of days)	90 days
MedicalMonitoringDaysDeadline	Medical Monitoring Pass Deadline:Number of days to consider for report purposes before deadline to pass a Medical Monitoring event	15 days
NotifyMedicalMonitoring	Send Medical Monitoring Email Notification: Indicate whether or not the application sends notifications to employees when they are assigned to a scheduled Medical Monitoring and when a scheduled Medical Monitoring is rescheduled or deleted	NO
NotifyPpe	Send PPE Email Notification: Indicate whether the application sends email notifications to employees when they are assigned a Personal Protective Equipment delivery and when any scheduled delivery is rescheduled or deleted, or the delivery location changes	NO
NotifyTraining	Send Training Email Notification:Indicate whether the application sends email notifications to employees when they are assigned to a scheduled Training Program, and when a scheduled Training Program is rescheduled or deleted	NO
TrainingDaysDeadline	Training Program Pass Deadline: Number of days to consider for report purposes before deadline to pass a Training Program	15 days
PpeDaysDeadline	PPE Delivery Deadline: Number of days to consider for report purposes before deadline to deliver a Personal Protective Equipment	15 days

To edit or change the value of an application parameter:

In the Process Navigator click EH&S Background Data to open the background data entry tab.
In the left pane under Application Parameters click Edit Application Parameter.
Application parameters are listed in the middle pane.
In the middle pane select a parameter to edit.
The parameter's settings are displayed in the right pane.
Make changes to the parameter's value.
In the right pane click Save to establish your changes.
Ask your ARCHIBUS administrator to implement your changes.
