Upload a Document to the Library
You can upload various types of documents to the library.
To upload a document:
- In the Process Navigator, click EH&S/ Documentation / Track EH&S Documents.
- In the Filter pane Click Show.
Any documents in the library are listed in the middle pane.
- Click Add New at the top of the middle pane.
- A blank EH&S Document form is displayed in the bottom pane.
- Document Name
- Document Author
- Document Category (if defined in EH&S Background Data)
- Document Type (if defined in EH&S Background Data)
- Document Folder (if defined in EH&S Background Data)
- Document Date
- Document Review Group
- Description
- Document Notes
- Site Code
- Building Code
- Related PPE Type
- Related Medical Monitoring
- Related Training
- Related Incident
- Click Save in the title bar of the EH&S Document Form in the bottom pane.
Your information is saved and the Document field is activated.
- Click the up-arrow in the Document field to access the Check In New Document window,
- Browse to the file to you want to check in, select it and click Open.
- In New Document window set the Check In Status. Choose:
- Locked: To prevent other users from editing or updating the document
- Unlocked: To allow other users to edit or update the document
- Click OK.
The document is checked into the EH&S library with the associations and information provided.
Note: The System Administrator at your site determines the file types (pdf, doc, xls, txt, etc.) that can be checked in and also whether the system supports tracking multiple versions of a document.
