Known Limitations of ARCHIBUS v19.2.2.052
The following are known issues with the current version.
- Process Navigator. ARCHIBUS Help. When you use the right-click button to call the help system from a process or role entry on the Process Navigator, the topic for this role correctly displays. However, if you now use the Show Contents button so that you can navigate through the complete help system, you will see that the Contents pane shows only a portion of the ARCHIBUS Help system: it shows only the Web Central core topics and application activity topics. Likewise, if you use the index or search features from this pane, you will not be accessing the complete help system. This behavior occurs in all ARCHIBUS programs that present the Process Navigator. To access the complete help system, choose the ARCHIBUS Help button in the upper right corner of Web Central, the Help button from the ribbon toolbar in Smart Client, and the ARCHIBUS Help button in the Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD . (3027599)
- Smart Client. Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD. Smart Client DWG Editor. ARCHIBUS Help and Process Navigator. When you use the right-click button to call the help system from a process or role on the Process Navigator, the topic for this role correctly displays. However, if you now use the Show Contents button so that you can navigate through the complete help system, you may experience errors when you return to the Process Navigator to select another task. To avoid this problem, do not use the Show Contents button on a help topic accessed from the Process Navigator. Instead, if you need access to the complete help system, choose the Help button from the ribbon toolbar in Smart Client and the ARCHIBUS Help button in the Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD. Note that this behavior is not an issue when using the Process Navigator in Web Central. (3027865)
- Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD. Smart Client DWG Editor.Space Process Navigator. The Space Inventory/Room Inventory/ Highlight Vertical Penetrations by Type task has no functionality. (3030010 and 3029964).
- Smart Client. WebSphere. You cannot use the Smart Client with WebSphere, as WebSphere currently uses an incompatible version of the CXF Web Services framework. (3026443)
- Web Central. 1.0 MDX-Style Views. The 1.0-style MDX views are not supported in the default Web Central configuration. To enable 1.0-style MDX views, see instructions in the schema/ab-products/solutions/compatibility/view-examples-mdx/readme.txt file.(3029347)
- Web Central.
View Analysis. In a two-dimensional view analysis view, the
program sometimes miss-aligns the output for a measure with a null value.
This problem does not affect functionality. (3015216)
- Web Central. ARCHIBUS ArcGIS Online views. ARCHIBUS ESRI ArcGIS Online views that use the Javascript API (ab-products\solutions\arcgismap\js-api) to display maps do not correctly show legends and dynamically drawn graphics over the maps in Internet Explorer 8. Firefox and Internet Explorer 7 work fine. The solution for users of Internet Explorer 8 is to switch to Internet Explorer compatibility mode. Should ESRI resolve this issue on their server, ARCHIBUS users will not need any reinstall to benefit from the fix. This is not an issue for views that use the Flash API (\ab-products\solutions\arcgismap\flash-api).(3028110 and 3027857)
- Web Central. Workflow Rules. Workflow rules that copy documents from one record to another, such as for creating leases from a lease template that includes a document link, will fail under MSSQL when using the default SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC. The problem is described in this Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313181. A workaround is to use another MS SQL driver, such as DataDirect JDBC or MS SQL JDBC driver 3.0. Note that these drivers have not been fully tested with ARCHIBUS. (3029838)
- Flash Drawing Control. The program does not always clear the "No Drawing" message box after displaying it for views with no drawing attached. This issue does not affect functionality.
- Microsoft SQL databases. The Update Project Wizard crashes when creating Microsoft SQL databases because the afm_notification_log.email_message is set to a size of 10,000 and Microsoft SQL supports a maximum size of 8000. The work around is to reduce the size of afm_notification_log.email_message to 8000 and then run the Update Project Wizard. (3029999)
- Building Operations. Work Request Budgets and Costs. Oracle. Department Code as Grouping Option. On the Process Navigator, choose On Demand Work/Management Reports/Work Request Budgets and Costs. Select Department Code as the Grouping Option, and then click Report button. You receive a message that the program cannot retrieve the data. This happens only with Department Code as the Grouping Option.(3029877)
- Building Operations. Work Team Performance Report, and Labor Analysis dashboard (Work Team Performance panel). The Satisfaction Survey Average reports the survey average for all closed requests that the work team is responsible for, regardless of whether or not the survey was actually filled out. If some SLAs do not have a satisfaction survey step, or if the client does not fill out a satisfaction survey upon a request's completion, then the satisfaction survey results in a 0, which will bring down the average. This metric, therefore, is valid only if all requests for a work team contain a satisfaction survey, and the client always responds to the survey upon request completion.(3030017)
- Move Management. Plan Move Scenario. WebSphere. On the Process Navigator, choose Move Management / Enterprise Move Management / Move Scenario Planner / Develop Move Scenarios. Create a new scenario or choose a scenario to edit. When you move to the Plan Move Scenario tab, the program presents an error message. Subsequently, you can access this tab without a problem. (3027142)
- Service Desk. Service Desk Manager. Manage Service Level Agreements. If using Internet Explorer 7 or 8 and using the Windows Vista or Windows 7 , then the Response Parameters tab within the Manage Service Level Agreements task does not load. Instead, it will just show a blank screen. There are two workarounds:
- If the client machine is running Windows Vista or Windows 7, you use the above view in the Firefox browser.
- If you must use IE, then you must change the OS to something other than Windows Vista or Windows 7. For example, the view runs correctly on all browsers when running Windows XP. (3027719)
- Capital Project Management. Gantt Chart. Some Eastern European time zone settings in the Windows client will cause the Gantt Chart to erroneously to show dates with three-digit years. The issue is with a third-party library and we have notified the vendor. The issue is only a display issue on those workstations – the data in the database and any data entered through the Gantt chart is still correct. (3027966)
- Real Estate Portfolio Management. Portfolio Management. Building/Structure/Land. Selected items in the “Manage by Location” views will not display on the map in Firefox v2. Upgrading to Firefox v3 resolves the issue.
- Real Estate Portfolio Management. Drill-down functionality is not available for the Land Area by State
view when accessed from the Land Dashboard. You can drill down
when you access the view from the Process Navigator. (3020311)
- Reservations. The confirm reservations view (for both rooms and
resources) contains an unnecessary email field (Requestors Email). This
field does not affect functionality. (3015233)
- Remote
Assessment Program. Pocket PC Handheld Devices. You cannot install
the assessment program on a removable storage card (such as a compact
flash or smart media card). Please refer to the "Using
Handheld Devices with Condition Assessment and Environmental Sustainability
Assessment" topic for system requirements for the assessment programs.
- Remote
Assessment Program. Pocket PC Handheld Devices.Under certain circumstances,
the assessment program may generate a "headerNode object required"
message. This sometimes occurs if you attempt to close the program immediately
after importing an XML file. If this occurs, click OK on the error message
box, re-import the XML file, and then click OK to close the application.
- Windows
XP Tablet PC Support. Handwriting Recognition. The
Windows XP Tablet PC is not officially supported except for the Condition
Assessment and Environmental Sustainability Assessment forms.
There are a number of compatibility issues with the handwriting features
and ARCHIBUS and devices running the Windows XP Tablet PC edition operating
system.
- Data
entry into the grid only allows one character in a cell when a cell first
gets the focus. To use writing pad with the grid, enter the first character,
select Send, and then enter the remaining characters. Alternately,
you can use the Tablet PC on-screen keyboard. This issue does not affect
dialog boxes, such as Select Values.
- When
using the drawing editor to create a new polyline, you cannot use the
C shortcut to close the polyline.
