Checking Workflow Rules in Process

You can use the Workflow Process Monitor task to monitor workflow processes that have been set up for the site. If a process is a long-running process and it is no longer needed, you can stop the process.

The Workflow Process Monitor lists all workflow rules that are currently in process. This list is typically empty, since even long-running rules are nearly instantaneous from a human standpoint. However, if you do have a long-running process -- such as a long data transfer -- that you wish to stop, you can do so.

To check and stop a workflow rule that is in process:

  1. Access the Workflow Process Manager at System Administration/Add-In Manager/Workflow Process Monitor.
  2. The form displays any rules that are currently in process. View the Elapsed Time for each rule that is in process.
  3. Select the Stop button for one or more processes that you want to stop.
  4. Click the Stop Selected Rules button to stop the selected processes.
