Creating the Sybase Schema Database

This topic has the procedure for creating the Sybase Schema database from the canonical Sybase hq.db. It is not necessary to rebuild the Sybase database for localization. This procedure is used if you want to rebuild the database to make it smaller, or to upgrade the database version.

To create the Sybase Schema database:

  1. Copy the canonical Sybase hq.db. Rename the copy to Schema.db.
  2. Open the new Schema.db that you just created from the canonical Hq.db as a project in ARCHIBUS Windows.
  3. Run …\Schema\Common\mksmdb.abs from ARCHIBUS Windows using the File / Run BasicScript command.
  4. Close the Schema.db project.
