Reading or Writing Translatable Tables

The Read or Write Translatable Tables task presents a view of the lang_strings table. See Localization Tables.

To read or write translatable tables:

1. Select the Technologies\Localization\Read or Write Translatable Tables task.
2. From the Language list, select the target language. See About the Language Selection.
3. Select the tables to include. See Translatable Tables in the Project Database.
4. When writing, you can select to update only records that do not have a translation. Selecting this option enables you to preserve existing translations (records that currently have a value in the Translation field).
5. Click the Read Tables or Write Tables button.

   If you read tables, the Tables affected by read section refreshes to show the number of records read for each table.

   If you write tables, The Tables affected by write section, refreshes to show the number of records written.
