Importing the Results from the Handheld Device

Once field assessors using handheld devices finish recording the condition and sustainability of rooms and equipment, they need to import the files from the handheld device back to the ARCHIBUS database.

To import the data from the handheld device:

  1. Using the application on the handheld device, export the data to a .csv file.
  2. Place the exported file from the handheld device in a convenient location on your desktop computer.
  3. Open the Manage Assessment Items task, and select the assessment project whose assessment items you wish to import from a handheld device.
  4. Select the Show button to see all assessment items for this project.
  1. Click once on the PDA button, and then choose Import PDA Export File.
  1. Browse to select the file.
  2. The system imports the data and displays a message that the records were updated.
