A classification of work performed at your site with which you can associate the required medical monitoring, training, and PPE. For example, a work category for "fork lift operators" may specify that employees of this category have yearly physicals, equipment training every quarter, and protective equipment of earplugs and safety gloves.
By associating these requirements with a work category, you can assign employees to one or more work categories and automatically associate the employee with each category's medical monitoring, training, and PPE requirements.
