cooling degree days (CDD)

The number of degrees that the average outside air temperature is above the building's cooling balance point. The cooling balance point is the temperature at which the building's cooling system begins to operate. Cooling degree days reflect the building's demand for energy related to cooling.

The Energy Management application calculates degree days as part of the weather model data it creates when you run the Update Calculations task.

Compare heating degree days.
