When an MSDS is assigned to a location, you can enter information about the container in which the material is stored. Containers are grouped into categories to aid in organizing a potentially large data set; within a container category, you can define container types.
The US EPA defines conventions for documenting the types of containers. As a convenience, the Container Categories table is already completed with records reflecting EPA conventions.
Use the Define Container Categories task to define the container categories used at your site.
When you define container categories, you can then run the Business Process Owner Reports / Container Category List report.
When the view is first presented, the left pane automatically lists container categories already entered into the system. A Smart Search console in the grid allows you to filter or sort data on any of the displayed columns. For example you might want to filter on categories the start with USEPA.
