What's New in ARCHIBUS V.21.3

Reservations and Reservations Plugin for Microsoft Outlook

Simultaneous Remote Conference Room Reservations.  The application now has a wizard to simultaneously book multiple conference room reservations at different sites at the same time.  This feature is essential for scheduling Skype, WebEx, and video conferences at multiple sites.  The feature takes into account time zone differences and room availability. Dragging the timeline slider adjusts the times for all selected rooms simultaneously.  Invitations (for both Exchange and .ics) for all invitees contain the information on all locations included in the conference.(3035858, 3043666)

Multiple Microsoft Exchange Server Support.   Large organizations often use more than one Microsoft Exchange server, and often have more than one version (e..g 2007 and 2010) in production.  This feature auto-discovers the correct server to use for each user of the Reservations application.  As with previous versions, the ARCHIBUS services keep the constant stream of reservations in ARCHIBUS, resources reserved in ARCHIBUS, and invitations synchornized to acceptance, rejection and calendar change actions in Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Web Access, and Office 365.  (3044220)

Searching in the Outlook Plug-In.  Now displays the Room Configuration name, allows you to search by available fixed resources and provides for filtering on a room capacity that is different from the current count of invitees.  Configuration options let system administrators determine which filter options appear in the Plug In.  (3044163, 3043640, 3043641)

Conflicts in Recurring Rooms.  Both the Plug-in and the application still warn if a recurring reservation has conflicts in one or more dates; however, the applications allow you to proceed with the overall reservation and then resolve the exceptions separately.  (3043581)

Virtual-Private ARCHIBUS (VPA).  The Plug-In and the application now have a configuration option to relax the VPA within the Reservations applications. This option is useful for sites with many users that travel often outside of their geo region (and so cannot work with the single-geo default that their VPA restriction provides). (3043580)
