Define Equipment Port Configuration

When you create ports for equipment in your telecom inventory, you do not have to create each port individually. You can use the Telecom Console to create all the ports required for a piece of equipment with one command, based on data you enter for Define Equipment Port Configuration.

To define a new equipment port configuration:

  1. On the Process Navigator, select Background Data / Define Equipment Port Configuration.

The Define Equipment Port Configuration view opens.

  2. Select an equipment standard in the Equipment Standards list.

A Port Standard Configuration list for the equipment standard you selected opens.

  3. Click Add New above the Port Standard Configuration list.
  4. In the right pane, enter data to define a new port standard configuration for the selected equipment.
