Using the Historical Project Analyzer, Capital Planners can review details for the cost budgeted versus the actual invoices paid for any construction project.
As a Capital Planner, you can use the Historical Project Analyzer task to compare a project's detailed cost budget to the actual invoices paid for any of your construction projects around the globe. For example, you could analyze all energy projects in Paris in Fiscal Year 2009.
To generate the Historical Project Analyzer:
The Select Project pane shows the projects meeting your restriction.
The right pane shows the project profile, work packages, and invoices for the selected project.
If you have the ARCHIBUS Connectors installed, you can import your legacy project and invoice data into the application using these connectors. Using the ARCHIBUS Connectors speeds integration of your enterprise data with ARCHIBUS. This set of templates used with the Connectors is referred to as the on-ramp.
As the Capital Planner, you know exactly what funding has been allocated to which approved capital project each and every fiscal year. For Capital Planners, the missing piece of the puzzle is how much is actually spent over the life of those projects. Getting invoicing paid numbers from your finance system might not occur in a timely manner for your needs.
The on-ramp provides you with the answers you need. This set of templates and connectors speeds integration of enterprise data, such as invoice data for both past and present projects. The on ramp improves capital project planning by enabling you to benchmark current and future projects against the actual costs. Moreover, the on-ramp improves current project oversight by comparing rate of spend to rate of task and work package completion.
