Footprints by Sites and Buildings Report

The Footprints by Sites and Buildings report provides an overview of emissions by calculation year, footprint scenario, site, and building. It includes totals emissions for all scopes by site with the ability to drill down to see the breakdown for the buildings included in the site's total. Use this report when you need a high level overview for multiple sites with the ability to easily access scope data at the building level.

Filtering the Report

It is not required that you set a filter for this report. By clicking Show, you can generate the report for all your sites, calculation years, footprint scenarios.

When selecting from the Filter console be aware that certain selections you make affect the data that is available for subsequent selections. For example, when you select a Calculation Year, the Building and Site fields are restricted to show only the locations that have footprint data calculated for the selected year. This ensures that you make only selections for which data is available.

If you want to restrict the data, you can restrict by:

Site or Building: These selection lists enables you to select multiple sites or buildings. See Selecting Multiple Values from Select Value Lists.
Calculation Year and Scenario Code: You can filter the report to include specific calculation years and footprint scenarios. You can select a single or multiple selections for each of these.
Totals Per Area: The Filter console includes the Totals Per Area check box that enables you to view Total Emissions divided by the gross area of the building or site. This enables you to compare emissions for different locations by adjusting for the location's size. The calculation uses the Ext. Gross Area entered for the building on the Building Footprint Details tab of the Enter Building Footprint Data task. By default, this check box is not selected, so that the application shows Total Emissions for each building or site.

Reviewing Site and Building Emissions

When you generate the Footprints by Site and Building report, the report presents the Site Emissions tab. For each calculation year, scenario, building, and site, the Site Emissions tab provides:

Total Emissions
Total Emissions (excluding Scope 3)
Total for Each Scope (Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3, and Other Emissions)
The number of buildings associated with the site (Total Bldgs field)
The number of buildings associated with the site for which the application has calculated carbon footprint (CF Bldgs field.)

From the Site Emissions tab, you can drill down to review Building Emissions Data:

To review the breakdown of emissions for all scopes for all buildings, select the Buildings tab, or select the Total Emissions shown in the first row of the Site Emissions panel.
To review the breakdown of emissions for buildings included in the site totals, click the row for the site record and the Building Emissions tab presents this information.
