In Smart Client, grid views present database tables in a format that is convenient for bulk editing and for displaying large amounts of data at a time. Smart Client grid views display in the Details pane of the Smart Client application. From here, you can sort data, change field visibility, restrict the data, and so on.
Smart Client grid views present the main table, and optionally additionally tables in a child role or standard role.
From Smart Client, you can load pre-defined grid views from the Process Navigator. You can also define your own views from the Views tab of the Explorer pane. This is handy for accessing any table in the database.
