Recording Non-Employees Involved in Incidents

A non-employee might be involved in an incident. For example, a contract worker might be injured in your workplace. The following information should be provided in an incident report when the victim is a non-employee:

Non-Employee Contact Code

If the person involved in the incident is not a company employee, but is a contract worker, a visitor, an inspector, a tradesperson, or other non-employee, your system administrator may have entered them into the system as a Contact. Use the ellipses button to access a list of people with whom your company does business (the Contacts table). If the party in question is not in the list, you must completed the Affected Non-Employee Name field (below).

Affected Non-Employee Name See the description of the above field. If you do not find a non-employee listed as a choice for the Non-Employee Contact Code field, you may type the person's name in this field. Thus, you will complete either Non-Employee Contact Code or Affected Non-Employee Name.
Contact Info for Non-Employee

If you completed Affected non-Employee Name, enter any information that you have for this party in this field. For example, you could enter the name of their company and its contact information, their role, why the party was at your site, and so forth.

This field is only available to edit if you have completed Affected Non-Employee Name.
