room arrangement

In the Reservations application, a room arrangement is defined in part by the room arrangement type, such as conference room, theater, or classroom. You also define the room arrangement with many other variables, such as setup (pre-block) and cleanup (post-block) times.

Each room can have multiple room configurations, and each configuration can, in turn, have multiple room arrangements.

When you reserve a room, you actually reserve a room arrangement for a particular room configuration. If you can change the layout of a room into various arrangements, such as from a conference room into a classroom, then you can set up multiple arrangements for one room configuration. Therefore, a specific room configuration can be reserved for a classroom meeting in the morning, and later the same day the same room could be reserved as a conference room.
