vendor

A vendor is a person or organization that supplies goods or services to an employer, but is not directly employed by the employer.

In the Reservations application, you can set up vendor work requests for setup and cleanup tasks as well as for resource reservation tasks, such as catering. You can assign a Vendor Code value to each room arrangement type and resource standard. After setting up vendors, work requests can be generated by room and resource reservations. If you prefer, you can set up work requests using trades instead of vendors.

In the Project Management application, vendors bid on work packages. When a vendor bid is approved, the employer sets up a contract with the vendor. Vendors can create invoices and track payments. Vendors can also submit change orders for work package actions.
