facility type

The facility type describes how you use a building, for example, Manufacturing or Office. A building can have different facility types associated with each of its suites. The Business Process Owner adds the types that appear in the Facility Type Select Values list. Users then select from these values when adding new suites.

By designating the facility types for your portfolio items, you are able to group key performance indicator charts by the way the building is used. For example, you can generate a chart for a building showing your total estimated area for manufacturing areas and for office areas.
