Workspace Transactions Console

As a space manager, you can use the Workspace Transactions Console to run all of your tasks from one convenient place. The Workspace Transactions Console offers some features which are unique to it, as well as features which can be run from other Space Manager tasks.

You can use the Workspace Transactions Console to:

Use this view when you want to focus on one floor at a time and see all the details of the rooms located on it.

Note: The Non-Transactional method also offers a console. The non-transactional method offers the Space Console, whereas the transactional method offers the Workspace Transaction Console.

Getting Started with the Workspace Transactions Console

When you load the Workspace Transaction Console task, you must first access the proper floor plan and information.

  1. Choose one of the following:
  1. The system presents a filter console, and a drill-down tree for selecting the floor plan.
  1. Adjust the working area to focus on the tasks at hand. There are two ways to do this:
  1. You may wish to pan the drawing, zoom into areas, and so on. Do so by using the tools in the drawing window.

With the floor plan drawing open, you can now perform the following tasks. You may wish to start off by highlighting rooms by various attributes and examining the summary data. When you spot problems or issues, you can then access additional information and make edits to resolve the problem, all right from the Workspace Transaction Console. For example, if you highlight by occupancy and notice that one room is over occupied and another is under occupied, you can correct this situation and move an employee from the over-occupied room to the under-occupied room by using the task's Edit Room Attributes button.
