System / Archibus Application Administrator - Application Configuration

Configuring Application Parameters for the Compliance Application

The Compliance application has the following application parameters.

Enabling and Disabling Email Notifications for Compliance Events

You can specify whether or not email notification for requirement events is turned on for your deployment by setting the createNotifications application parameter. Setting this parameter to 0 means that email notification is turned off. Setting this to 1 means that notifications are turned on.

To set this parameter:

  1. Select the System / Archibus Administrator - Application Configuration / Configure Application Parameters task.
  2. From the Applications pane, select AbRiskCompliance.
  3. From Application Parameters pane, select createNotifications.
  4. In the Edit Application Parameters pane, set the Parameter Value field:
    • to 1 to enable email notifications for Compliance events.
    • to 0 to disable email notifications for Compliance events.
  5. Click Save.

You will also need to configure the Web application server. See Email.Notifications for Archibus Applications.

Setting the Number of Days for Editing Closed Events

You can set the number of days after marking the Event Status as Closed that users are able to edit the event. This is done by setting the Events_DaysAllowEdit_AfterClose numeric value. A value of 0 means it can always be edited. The default parameter value is 0. If you enter a value greater than 0, that value specifies the number of days after the event being marked Closed that you are able to edit it. After the specified number of days have passed since the event was closed, the event can no longer be edited by anyone within Compliance.

To set this parameter:

  1. Select the System / Archibus Administrator - Application Configuration / Configure Application Parameters task.
  2. From the Application pane, select AbRiskCompliance.
  3. From the Application Parameters pane, select Events_DaysAllowEdit_AfterClose.
  4. In the Edit parameters pane, set the Parameter Value field:
    • to 0 to always allow editing of Closed events, no matter how long they have been closed.
    • to a number greater than 1 to specify the number of days after the event is marked Closed that it can be edited.
  5. Click Save.
