View Configuration feature

For users with appropriate security groups, a feature that supports creating certain types of fields and making them available to a select set of views by working directly from Web views and consoles. With this feature, administrators of systems hosted both locally and on the Cloud can create fields without updating the schema or having the in-depth knowledge of a database administrator.

The View Configuration feature supports:

You can configure fields of the Buildings, Floors, Rooms, and Employees tables by working with the Define Locations, Define Rooms, and Define Employees views. In addition to seeing your changes in these views, the changes for the Rooms and Employees tables are also available to the Space Console view. Future versions of Archibus will support this feature for other views and tables.

View configurations are stored in the afm_view_configuration table. They are shared between all users. System managers can make a view configuration available to other views.
