Define and Edit Service Contracts

The Service Contract Manager can define and modify service contracts -- the actual documents between the facility and the service provider and detail the particular relationship and responsibilities. Use the Service Contracts table (serv_con) to electronically store the details of these paper documents.

The Define Service Contracts task presents two frames: the left frame shows all defined Service Contracts, while he right frame shows details on the selected contract or shows an empty form for adding a new service contract.


Complete the fields with information from the contract document:

Field Description
Service Contract Code Uniquely identifies this record.
Service Contract Vendor

Enter the name of the vendor listed in the contract.

This field is not validated by the Vendors table.

Date Expires Enter the expiration date, as listed in the contract.
Description Enter a summary of the contract.
Service Contact The phone number of the service provider.
Graphic If you have an image of the service contract document, you can enter it here.
Document You can upload the actual service contract documents. See Using the Document Management System.

Linking SLAs to a Service Contract

When defining an SLA and setting response procedures, you can link all SLAs of a contract to that contract.
