Define Tagged Furniture by Floor

Use the Define Tagged Furniture by Floor task to develop your tagged furniture inventory by the floor it is located on. Working from the Smart Client, you can access this task from the Asset Portal, Assets, and Enterprise Assets applications.

To define tagged furniture records that are associated with a floor:

  1. From the Smart Client Navigator, select the Define Tagged Furniture by Floor task.

    The grid presents a list of your buildings.

  2. Click the plus sign next to the building you want to work with.

    A new panel presents a list of the floors for the selected building.

  3. Click the plus sign next to the floor that you want to add tagged furniture to.

    A new panel presents the list of tagged furniture for that floor.

  4. To add a new record, click in the first row of the grid showing the tagged furniture.
  5. Enter the following required field:

    Furniture Code: Enter a unique identifier for the furniture item.

    When you enter a Furniture Code, the program fills in the Building and Floor Codes that you selected.

  6. To further define the furniture, enter the following fields:

    Furniture Standard: Enter the type of furniture item by selecting from the standards you have defined.

    Room Code: Select the room from the list.

    Serial Number: If the furniture item has a serial number, record it in this field.

    Furniture Status: Select a description to document if the furniture is being used, is in storage, has been sold, requires repair, and so forth.

  7. To save your entries, click outside the row in which you are entering data.
