Energy Management: Application Overview
The Energy Management application, includes the following roles:
- Business Process Owners: define the following Background Data used by the Energy Management application if this data has not been defined using another application.
- Define Facilities Background data, such as geographic locations, weather stations, and organization data. For each building, the Business Process Owner enters the , the period used as the basis of energy comparison for this building. See Managing Background Data - Facilities.
- Define Accounting background data, such as cost and cost categories, accounts, vendors, and vendor accounts. See Managing Background Data - Accounting.
- Define Utilities background data, such as bill types and bill units. See Managing Background Data - Utilities Manager.
- Cost Administrators. enter billing information, and also vendor information if it has not already been added. See Cost Administrator: Overview.
- Accounting Supervisors approve and audit bills: See Accounting Supervisor: Overview
- Energy Managers/Facilities Directors review cost and consumption metrics, forecasts, and scenarios. See Energy Manager Overview.
- Operations/Contracts Managers: review metrics across your portfolio: See Operations/Contracts Manager Overview.
The Energy Management application enables the Cost Administrator to enter bills that are approved by the Accounting Supervisor. See Energy Management Bill Entry/Approval Process.
