team

A group of employees--often from multiple departments--who sit together in space that is designated for their use.

Teams may be based on work function, location, reporting structure, project, and so on. A team assignment may be for a specified amount of time -- say, 4 months for a project -- or may be permanent.

Within a team, you might have some employees who are assigned specific seats due to their role; for example, executives who are part of a team may be assigned their own offices. These employees have permanent space (the office) which is included in the team space.
