Self-service users can access Workplace from:
Once self-service users make requests from Workplace, a facility manger can manage the requests using the below Archibus applications and cloud modules. Using the these tools, you can add additional details to the request.
As the request is managed in the Archibus applications, the requestor will see the request status change in Workplace. For example:
Archibus Workplace task | How Managed |
---|---|
Request Working Space |
Hoteling application Reservations cloud module (In Workplace, Hoteling bookings are referred to as "requests for working space.") |
Request Meeting Space |
Reservations application Reservations cloud module (In Workplace, room reservations are referred to as "requests for meeting space.") |
Request Individual Move |
Enterprise Move Management application Space Management cloud module |
Request Group Move (Managers only) |

Note: A deployment might not have the application to manage the request. Accordingly, if the deployment does not have an application, you must disable the Workplace interface components that require this application. For example, if your site does not have Enterprise Move Management, you do not want Workplace to include the move features as you would have no way to manage a move once it is generated. To disable Workplace features, see Activate and Deactivate Workplace Features.
