allocation event (Space & Portfolio Planning Console)

Within a portfolio scenario, the operational event that occurs on a specific day and for which you can review the allocations of your space as of this date on a stack plan. An allocation event represents any change that has been made to the space on a specific date

Allocation events can include the end of a lease, the date you move a department, the date that you create an allocation, the beginning of the forecast period, the date you import space requirements, and so on.

The Space & Portfolio Planning Console lists the allocation events in its Events panel of the Stack Plan tab .

Since allocations are stored Groups table and specify their event in the table's Allocation Event field , the system can group together allocations that have the same value for the Allocation Event field into one allocation event. The Groups table's and Date Start and Date End fields store the time frame of the allocation event.

Here are some examples of allocation Event Names:

• Lease L-DRP-02-2003
• HQ Building Constructed
• Created from Inventory
• Move from Media Building
