move order
The details about executing a move, such as the "To" location, the date of the move, the items to be moved, the department contact, and forth. A move order can be for:
- employee -- move an individual employee and optionally the equipment and furniture assigned to them. An employee move order can also specify a new phone extension and mailbox, a new data jack, the number of boxes, if a new name plate is required, and so on.
- a room -- move all contents of the room
- equipment -- move a specific equipment item
- team -- move all items of a team
- asset -- an item such as a painting that is not recorded in the database. When you create an asset move, you describe the item to move and do not select it from a validating list.
If you create a group move project, the system creates one move order for each item you explicitly add to the group move. For example, if you add an individual equipment item, the system generates a move order for it. If you add an employee, the system generates one move order for the employee. The system then groups together these move orders in a move project.
If you create an individual move order, there is no project; the move order is documented with a record in the Move Orders table.
Move orders are stored in the Move Orders (mo
) table.
